I love the above line from Hafiz. How true his insight!. He follows it with “I would like to see you in better living quarters”.
I believe it is God’s true desire that we move out of fear, and into the domain of love, nothing but love. Love feels so good. Love houses us abundantly!
Fear constricts. We can feel this in our bodies. It could thus be called “the cheapest room in the house — our house — our body. Fear holds us tight within its reign and doesn’t allow freedom of thought or movement.
Love expands. When we take a deep breath, we can feel this expansion. This is a much, much better place in which to live.
In loving spaciousness we have freedom.
Inside what scares you is what saves you. What we flee from is exactly what we need for healing and happiness.
Courage asks that we turn and face whatever seems to be blocking our joy.
It helps to slow down and breathe when we feel ourselves caught up in fear.
Taking that deep, conscious breath is one great way of moving from fear to love.
Fear judges. Love observes and can then discern the best thing to do in each situation. Have the courage to look at what is causing our pain.
We cannot judge and observe at the same time. We can’t fear and love at the same time.
Observation gives us many views, many options so that we have the freedom to choose that which seems most appropriate for any given situation.
So, let’s choose the better way to live. It feels so much better.
Choosing again and again; noticing when we tighten up. As we note this, we can make a new decision.
Choose between that crowded, closed in space — fear, and the place of expansion, wideness, love. Love is all inclusive; nothing is left out.
We deserve better living conditions!
And it’s up to us to move into them!
Breathe, expand and know that God is in every breath, and is guiding us every moment.
That’s rich living!
