“Fear is the cheapest room in the house.
I would like to see you living in better conditions.”
How true his insight!
I believe it is our Divine and true desire that we move out of fear, and into the domain of love — nothing but love. Love feels so good. Love houses us abundantly!
Fear constricts. We can feel this in our bodies. Fear grips us tightly and doesn’t allow freedom of thought or movement.
Love expands. When we take a deep breath, we can feel this expansion. This is a much, much better place to live.
Taking that deep, conscious breath is a good way of moving from fear to love. And in loving spaciousness, we find freedom.
But here’s the paradox: Inside what scares you is what saves you. What we flee from is exactly what we need for healing and happiness.
Courage asks that we turn and face whatever seems to be causing our pain. It helps to slow down and breathe when we feel ourselves caught up in fear.
Fear judges. Love observes and can then discern the best thing to do in each situation. We cannot judge and observe at the same time. Observing gives us many views, many options … so that we have the freedom to choose what seems most appropriate for any given situation.
Noticing when we tighten up, we take a deep breath and review our options. We have a choice of either fear, that crowded, closed-in space — or love, the place of expansion, abundance and kindness.
We deserve better living conditions! And it’s up to us to move into them.
So let’s choose love. That’s rich living!
